What can be done to encourage better STEM training for teachers

Its all about teaching the student that they can solve problems and that they might appreciate the optional solutions.

Every student is capable of great achievement in STEM they just may not know it yet.

Provide free educational resources materials and training on delivering them during in-service teacher professional development training.

Participate in the Secretary of Education’s $5 billion Race to the Top program.

More STEM MOOCs which generally have a lower cost/credit hour.

How about government sponsored tuition for a teachers STEM credits in college.

Government sponsored STEM educational materials, videos, slide shows, printed media.

Government sponsored scholarship money for any educator taking STEM courses.

Teachers should try not to to teach “anti-creativity”

Teachers should try and teach students how to recognize the relevance of previously unappreciated relationships or information can be used to solve problems in a novel way.
